WaterPuris

About

WaterPuris is a Canadian agri-food water technology company developing nanobubble irrigation and water-conditioning systems for greenhouse production, controlled-environment agriculture, field crops, and livestock and animal production. The company’s systems generate nanobubble-treated water that can be integrated with existing irrigation, fertigation, and water distribution infrastructure to support crop performance, water quality management, dissolved oxygen control, and sensor-enabled operational monitoring. WaterPuris focuses on practical, scalable solutions that can be deployed in agricultural settings with minimal disruption to existing operations, helping producers improve productivity, manage water quality, reduce operational risks, and support more sustainable agri-food production.

Project

Through this Technology Access Program-supported project, WaterPuris will work with the Vineland Research and Innovation Centre TDS to evaluate nanobubble-treated irrigation water in high-wire greenhouse cucumber production. The project will assess how the technology can be integrated into greenhouse irrigation and fertigation systems and will generate practical information on crop performance, water quality, system operation, and grower-relevant requirements.

Impact

The project will produce tangible technical, commercial, and economic outcomes for WaterPuris and Ontario’s greenhouse sector. The immediate technical outcome will be a third-party greenhouse validation dataset for nanobubble-treated irrigation water in high-wire cucumber production at Vineland Research and Innovation Centre.  Within 6–12 months after project completion, WaterPuris expects the results to support at least 2–3 follow-on greenhouse pilot opportunities, customer demonstrations, or paid technical evaluations. Within 12–24 months, the project is expected to support early commercial sales or leasing opportunities for greenhouse nanobubble systems, with potential new revenue in the range of approximately $150,000–$500,000 depending on the number and size of follow-on deployments.
