Toronto General Contractors

About

Toronto General Contractors is a full-service residential construction company specializing in home renovations, additions, and custom design-build projects. Serving the Greater Toronto region, they manage projects from design to completion, focusing on high-quality renovation solutions. While digital tools are used in some areas, the integration of AI technologies for project estimation, scheduling, and internal operations remains limited-highlighting a need for workforce training to support broader technology adoption.

Project

With support from the Future Ready Program, Toronto General Contractors will participate in a 4-week LLM Prompt Training, designed to equip teams with the technical expertise and strategic insights needed to develop and optimize time and workflows using Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI Agents like Chat GPT, Claude, and Perplexity effectively. The program covers LLM fundamentals, prompt engineering, AI workflow automation, and real-world deployment strategies. Attendees will gain hands-on experience in building AI-driven applications, optimizing agent interactions, and leveraging AI for business growth.

Impact & Outcomes

The project will deliver several tangible outcomes that will ensure successful AI adoption and long-term sustainability at Toronto General Contractors. By the end of the 4-week program, the team will be proficient in using AI tools for estimating, scheduling, and document management, resulting in increased productivity and faster project turnaround.  As a result of AI adoption, the company is anticipating revenue growth of $100 thousand as well as the creation of 2-3 new full-time positions.
