TerreSky

About

TerreSky is a technology-driven firm dedicated to revolutionizing asset management and environmental stewardship through the development of highly precise data. Led by a team of dedicated developers and engineers, the company focuses on how advanced technology—including drone platforms and rich data sets—can be leveraged to change how businesses manage physical resources and assets. Operating with a nationwide reach, TerreSky maintains a network of pilots across every Province and Territory in Canada to provide efficient, localized support.

Project

The proposed project aims to establish a precise, chronological baseline for monitoring the site environmental health, specifically focusing on proactive tracking of plant growth, species health, and the spread of invasive species. The goal is to demonstrate how the TerreSky TS 360 Platform can provide a robust, data-driven alternative to manual surveys for ecological stewardship.  Through the support of the TAP program, TerreSky will work the Evergreen Brickworks TDS to provide a access to a critical, real-world and high-value ecological site for a pilot site for testing the platform.

Impact

The proposed project will result in the development of an AI-powered environmental digital twin and a custom-trained AI model as a foundation of the TS360 platform.  The project is designed to deliver significant cost savings (a direct benefit) and increased productivity (a direct benefit) by automating monitoring and reducing the need for costly, time-intensive manual surveys. The implementation of a highly accurate AI system reduces errors and prevents the long-term, high costs associated with unchecked invasive species spread (an indirect benefit).
