Tacit Insight Ltd. is an Ontario-based technology firm founded in 2013. Its current focus is Aptli (aptli.io) — a platform built for construction and infrastructure field operations. Aptli unifies map, inventory, and work orders into a single accountability chain, with version-controlled GIS, cryptographically-signed material handoffs, and an immutable audit trail. It is purpose-built for large, multi-contractor projects where field teams work offline across remote sites and compliance cannot be optional.

Project

Through the Development and Commercialization program, Tacit is validating Aptli in live deployment at the Evergreen TDS — stress-testing GPS accuracy, offline field operation, cryptographic material handoffs, and audit trail integrity under real construction conditions. The engagement opens a direct channel into the construction sector, generating field feedback that informs broader Ontario deployment.

Impact

The project produces four operational outputs ready for external use: validated production software, hardened cyber-security controls, AI-enhanced deployment tooling, and a co-authored case study from the Evergreen pilot. Together these sharpen Aptli’s readiness for the broader construction, utility, and municipal infrastructure market, with Tacit projecting ARR growth to $500,000 within 18 months of project completion and 1–3 additional full-time roles.
