About

StrongBó Agritech Canada Limited is an Ontario-based agtech company focused on building practical solutions to help beef producers make better management decisions with less labour and less disruption to cattle. StrongBó’s current product, the AutoWeigher, is an automated weighing system that provides frequent individual and herd weight insights to support feeding, marketing, and animal welfare.

Project

Through the support of the Development and Commercialization program, this project will develop and validate StrongBó’s next-generation weighing and performance system that utilizes advanced AI models and robust data capture to estimate cattle weights in a variety of harsh farming applications.  Over the project period, StrongBó will work with the Cambrian College TDS to  build and refine prototypes, establish a repeatable deployment process, launch a robust data capture and AI-model refinement pathway, and validate reliable operation against established reference weights when faced with on-farm conditions.

Impact

The goal for this project is to make weight monitoring more frequent and more accessible, enabling farmers to optimize feed rations, identify underperforming or sick animals sooner, and time marketing or breeding decisions for best results. The project will be delivered with support from Ontario-based partners and will contribute to building high-value agricultural technology capability and jobs in Ontario.
