Soreno HVAC Inc. sells heating, cooling and hydronic equipment — but the technical judgment that comes with it is just as much the product. Based in Scarborough, Ontario, Soreno designs and assembles its own line of HVAC and hydronic equipment and supplies a selected range of partner brands to the trade across the GTA. Its product range covers heating and cooling systems, radiant and hydronic heating, and water products, offered under the Soreno name alongside partner brands such as GlacierFresh and Wirebridge. Soreno sells business-to-business — to HVAC and mechanical contractors, installers and wholesale trade accounts across Ontario — and pairs its equipment with hands-on technical support: project evaluations, equipment selection and sizing recommendations, troubleshooting and diagnostics, and product-application training for its customers.
With support from the Future Ready program, Soreno will staff will undergo a seven-day on-site training program. Three front-line sales and product-support staff will learn to use AI for routine technical information work: locating and summarizing product specifications, drafting customer responses and quotes, and preparing customer-ready product material. The training emphasizes accuracy and verification, with every AI-generated answer checked against manufacturer documentation.
The project will enable faster customer response times, reduce the workload on senior technical staff, and give Soreno the capacity to grow its business. A self-contained package of training materials, prompt templates, and verification checklists will remain with the company for ongoing use and future staff onboarding. Soreno expects this added capacity and faster response to help grow its revenue by roughly 15% to 20% a year over the next two years — from about $400,000 today toward the region of $550,000 to $575,000 by the end of the second year, or on the order of $200,000 in additional revenue across the two years.
