With over 15 years of experience, SK Godelius specializes in Physical AI, robotics, automation, and remote-operated solutions for complex industrial environments. With offices in Canada, the United States, Chile, and Australia, the company develops mission-oriented autonomous and semi-autonomous systems that improve safety, operational efficiency, and asset reliability. Its technologies include robotic inspection systems, autonomous sampling platforms, remote operation solutions, and AI-driven analytics that transform operational data into actionable insights. Serving industries such as mining, agriculture, and energy, SK Godelius delivers field-proven solutions designed to perform in some of the world’s most challenging environments.
In collaboration with Cambrian College’s Centre for Smart Mining and CIT’s Development and Commercialization Program, SK Godelius is advancing a Robotic Soil Sampling System. The robot is designed to autonomously collect up to 50 soil samples of 1 kg each at depths of up to 50 cm, guided by GPS waypoints and equipped with onboard analysis capabilities. Built on a Husky platform, the system integrates an electric auger and pneumatic conveyor for efficient sampling in tough environments. The project focuses on enhancing autonomy, real-time data analysis, and reliable performance across extreme conditions, supporting applications in mining, agriculture, and environmental studies.
The project will deliver a fully assembled soil-sampling robot prototype, along with technical documentation and scalable manufacturing resources. Expected outcomes include robust autonomous operation, optimized system integration, and iterative improvements based on field trials in Canada and Chile. The initiative will create new Ontario-based jobs, strengthen local supply chains, and generate up to $2.4 million in revenue by 2029. By advancing robotic automation in mining and beyond, SK Godelius is driving efficiency, environmental sustainability, and global competitiveness.
