PruvIT Technologies Inc.

About

PrüvIT Technologies is a Canadian agri-tech company focused on advancing traceability, animal health monitoring, and regulatory compliance in livestock agriculture through the integration of artificial intelligence and digital technologies. PruvIT’s solutions are designed to support livestock producers, supply chain partners, and regulators by enabling autonomous data collection, digital identity systems, and transparent recordkeeping. While initial deployment focuses on small ruminants (sheep), the long-term vision includes expanding into beef, dairy, and swine industries in international markets. The company’s  technologies are uniquely positioned to meet growing demands for animal health data, antimicrobial usage reporting, deforestation compliance, and sustainability verification in global livestock supply chains

Project

This project will be conducted in partnership with Venture Lab, a designated Technology Development Site supported through funding from the Technology Access Program.  PrüvIT Technologies will use both the AI Compute Lab and technical advisory services to enhance the performance and usability of its livestock facial recognition system. The project will focus on augmenting an already functional system that identifies sheep by facial features using landmark-based AI models.

Impact

This project will directly support the enhancement and commercialization readiness of an AI-based livestock identification system developed by PrüvIT Technologies. The immediate outcomes include: a validated facial recognition system for sheep, field-ready onboarding process and a finalized dataset and performance benchmarking suite for future model improvement. PruvIT anticipates the need to hire 1-2 full-time employees in the next 18 months and generate $100,000 – $250,000 in new revenues within the first year of deployment.
