Mingyahouse Decoration is a home-building construction materials and interior products supplier in Markham.  The company buys against customer’s specifications from a supplier network that runs from Canadian brands and distributors through to factories we deal with directly overseas. Mingyahouse sells cabinetry, countertops, sinks, faucets and tile for kitchens and bathrooms, along with flooring, doors and hardware, lighting and electrical fittings, furniture, and exterior and landscaping material. Where a standard item will not fit a room, they have it made to size, finish or configuration.

Project

With the support of the Future Ready program, Mingya house is looking to train its staff in AI-enabled software platforms.  These platforms will help to streamline the quotation process which is currently manual in nature and subject to delays and errors.  The platform will also help automate the pricing process to both save time and more accurately cost and price custom product orders.

Impact

By the end of the project, Mingyahouse  will  have four people who can take a customer requirement in whatever state it arrives and return a priced, dated, verified set of options, and then buy against it.   This improved process is estimated to increase the company’s revenue by $40,000 to $60,000 per year.
