Iceberg Cyber is renowned for pioneering a cyber credit score for small businesses, simplifying cybersecurity for decision-makers. Its flagship products, Cyber Scores and Cyber Monitoring, are designed to simplify the identification, tracking, and communication of cyber risks. One of its most prominent markets is the commercial real estate industry. Property managers are increasingly responsible for the cybersecurity of various operational technologies in modern smart buildings, such as elevator controls, heating and air conditioning systems, and key card access systems. These interconnected systems introduce new operational risks, as cybercriminals frequently target commercial real estate for ransom.

Project

With support from CIT’s Development and Commercialization (DC) Program, Iceberg is enhancing its product line with new generative AI features, enabling building operators to remotely assess and proactively defend against cybersecurity threats in real time. Currently, operators must conduct manual, in-person audits, which are time-consuming and labor-intensive. By leveraging generative AI to simplify complex technical jargon into clear, actionable steps, Iceberg will expand its product offerings to streamline cybersecurity remediation.  

Impact

Upon the completion of the project, the Iceberg solution will be commercially available.  There is an immediate opportunity of $1.1M in contract value if Iceberg can satisfy their feature needs in a pilot demonstration to their flagship client. We will use this demonstration project to expand our sales funnel to other property management companies and based on the estimated size of each of their property portfolios. Iceberg anticipates that they will need to hire 2 more full-time software developers and automation technicians by the end of this project to satisfy the commercial demand for our product.
