Grand Craft Inc. provides end-to-end construction and renovation services across six business lines: home remodeling and renovation; home extensions and additions; custom homes and new builds; commercial construction; construction management and consulting; and community development. The company serves many areas in local Toronto such as North York, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Markham, Mississauga and surrounding municipalities. Grand Craft operates a vertically integrated model with direct control over the supply of cabinetry, glass, and windows and doors, supported by a digitally-driven showroom that allows clients to review design options before construction begins.
With support from the Future Ready program, Grand Craft Inc. is undertaking a 7-day structured AI training program. The project will equip four key employees—in project management, estimating, production coordination, and client administration—with practical skills to apply AI agents within their daily workflows. The training focuses on four operational areas where AI can provide immediate benefit: reviewing shop drawings and material specifications; coordinating production scheduling and fabrication planning; preparing quality documentation and installation records; and managing change orders and supplier communication.
By building internal AI capability, Grand Craft Inc. aims to reduce production delays from documentation errors, improve coordination between shop and site, and increase project throughput. These improvements will help the company strengthen its production capacity, maintain quality standards, and continue growing its presence in Ontario’s residential construction market. Based on the workflows assessed during the engagement, the company anticipates a 25% reduction in the time required to prepare a client quotation, a 20% improvement in project coordination efficiency across concurrent sites, a 15% reduction in administrative time spent producing project updates and documentation, and a 10% reduction in coordination-related errors such as missed updates, sequencing conflicts, and documentation gaps.
