Project

Through this Development and Commercialization supported project, G Architects  will leverage the Evergreen TDS to develop an AI-assisted Building Information Modelling (BIM) automation system designed to streamline the production of construction ready documentation and renderings for complex institutional projects. The system will automatically generate renderings, drawing annotations, specification sections, and compliance reports from architectural design inputs, while simultaneously checking outputs against applicable Ontario regulatory frameworks including the Ontario Building Code, CSA Z8000 healthcare facility standards, Ministry of Long-Term Care guidelines, and AODA accessibility requirements.

Impact

The AI-assisted BIM Automation System project will deliver a validated, production-ready technology platform advancing from TRL 3 to TRL 6–7 over the 5-month project period.  Following successful pilot validation, G architects will deploy the solution internally and potentially look to license the platform to peer architectural firms across Ontario.  G architects estimates that the system will reduce documentation production time by 30–40% per project as well as reduce compliance error-related rework by 50-60%.
