Feris is a building technology company specializing in advanced construction manufacturing. Our core product, the HARMONIC Advanced Building Envelope Technology, is a patented system designed for residential and commercial construction. The company’s patented HARMONIC technology uses lightweight steel and expanded polystyrene to create thermally broken building envelopes that are both durable and energy efficient. Feris has a focus on sustainability and affordability in housing, addressing the increasing demand for energy-efficient, prefabricated buildings.

Project

The current process of converting third-party structural and architectural designs into HARMONIC manufacturing-ready drawings is time-consuming and often prone to human error. Through the Development and Commercialization program, Feris will look to incorporate AI into HARMAONIC to dramatically accelerate the process while improving accuracy and efficiency.  Feris will use the Evergreen Brickworks TDS to support the testing, validation, and demonstration of Feris’ AI-driven process.

Impact

The outcomes of this Project will be transformative for Feris and will serve as a stepping-stone for the broader implementation of AI technologies in the full Design2Manufacturing2Construction (D2M2C) process.  A fully functional Conversation Agent interface capable of assisting Feris’ internal teams and third-party designers in optimizing HARMONIC and HARMONIC+ designs will allow Feris to take on 20-30% more projects per year and generate up to $3 million in HARMONIC sales within the first year of launch.
