Everbuild Materials

About

Everbuild Materials makes finished stone to order: it builds nothing on site and stocks no standard product. Working only from a customer’s approved drawing, it reserves a slab, cuts it once on a bridge saw, five-axis CNC and waterjet, then finishes, inspects, labels and delivers each piece for the customer’s own installer to fit. Its output spans kitchen and hospitality countertops, islands and bar tops, vanity and shower pieces, wall panels and cladding, stair treads and risers, sills, thresholds, reception desks and custom architectural stone. Operated by 1000569082 Ontario Inc. and registered in Markham, Ontario.

Project

As a custom manufacturer, Everbuild’s capacity is limited less by its shop equipment than by how quickly and accurately it can turn incoming drawings and specifications into quotes, approved shop drawings, and coordinated production and delivery.  Through this Future Ready project, EverBuild Materials will work with a Critical Technology Advisor to train employees in the practical use of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve information-intensive business processes. The training will focus on AI-assisted review of customer drawings, preparation of quotations, production coordination, customer communications, and quality documentation. Employees will also learn responsible AI practices, including verifying AI-generated information before it is used in manufacturing decisions

Impact

Upon completion of the project, Ever Built  expects the participating employees to have practical skills and supporting materials for using AI across quoting, order-coordination and record-keeping work. The tangible outcomes will include completed exercises, improved employee capability, standardized workflow resources, and customized training materials built on the company’s own documents.  Ever Build Materials estimates that the time and costs savings associated with this improved efficiency could lead to a $300,000 increase in revenue and the need to hire 4 more full-time employees two years post-project.
