Project

With support from the CIT Development and Commercialization program, Deep Logic Solutions is developing an integrated mine risk analysis solution to address the growing frequency and severity of mine tailings failures. The platform combines directed graph-based path analysis, agentic AI-based data fusion, and satellite-based InSAR monitoring with spectral analysis to provide automated alerts for emergent and imminent risks. By integrating into AI-enabled dashboards, the solution enables real-time visualization of hazards, hazard travel time, and mitigation strategies, with outputs that can be embedded into existing geotechnical workflows or Trigger Action Response Plans. It incorporates APSIS InSAR, RiskLogik, and supporting models to simulate mitigation scenarios and inform decision-making.

Impact

The project will position Deep Logic Solutions as a leader in AI-driven risk analysis for the mining sector, enabling more proactive and cost-effective management of tailings storage facilities and other critical infrastructure. By providing early warning capabilities and detailed consequence analysis, the solution supports improved safety, reduced environmental risk, and enhanced regulatory compliance. Outcomes include new revenue growth, job creation, and expanded market opportunities in Ontario and globally, while delivering significant value to mining operators and communities through risk avoidance, improved decision-making, and protection of environmental and social systems.
