Coastalsolar Energy Inc., is a construction company operating in the renewable energy field that entered the space in 2025 and has quickly gained traction by managing the entire project lifecycle—site assessments, system design, permitting, installation, and maintenance—under one roof rather than forcing clients to piece together multiple contractors. This integrated model has resonated with property owners and organizations across Ontario who want a straightforward path to solar power without the administrative headaches that typically accompany such projects. The market opportunity continues to widen as technology costs drop and more clients look for practical alternatives to traditional energy sources, positioning us to scale our operations and deepen our presence in the province.
CoastalSolar Energy has made investments in AI-enabled software but organization has not yet achieved the internal digital fluency required for full integration. As a result, the team currently relies on manual spreadsheets and checklists, and the AI tools are underutilized. With support from the Future Ready program, CoastalSolar Energy staff will receive training focused on practical AI applications in on solar-specific applications: automating site assessment data entry, improving system design iteration times, tracking permit documentation, and scheduling maintenance across multiple active projects.
Upon completion of this project, Coastalsolar will have a fully AI-proficient workforce. Four employees will have completed role-specific training and will be capable of independently applying AI tools to their daily responsibilities—from generating accurate quotations to tracking permit documentation and interpreting supplier catalogues. This foundational skill development will directly translate into measurable operational improvements: quotation preparation time is expected to decrease from 4–6 hours to under 1 hour per project, while administrative tasks such as permit tracking and document management will be streamlined by approximately 50%, freeing up 15–20 hours of staff time per week for client-facing activities and project execution.
