Canadian Strategic Missions Corporation (CSMC) is one of Canada’s fastest growing space and defence companies, developing dual-use technologies. Project

With support from the CIT Development and Commercialization program, CSMC is advancing a neural network-based data fusion platform that integrates quantum sensing data with traditional geophysical and Earth observation inputs to improve subsurface detection and characterization. The project focuses on developing and validating an AI-driven model capable of enhancing signal quality, improving inversion accuracy, and enabling the fusion of multiple sensing modalities into a unified analysis framework.

Impact

The project will advance CSMC’s subsurface sensing technology toward commercialization, enabling a new approach to detecting and characterizing underground features with greater accuracy and resolution. By improving access to critical subsurface data, the solution supports more informed decision-making and reduces environmental impact across resource and infrastructure sectors. Outcomes include expanded market opportunities, strengthened Canadian leadership in quantum sensing and AI-driven Earth observation, and the development of sovereign capabilities in a strategically important area of technology.
