AssetPool is a smart inspection platform for asset-heavy industries, digitizing inspections and compliance through customizable checklists, QR/barcode asset IDs, geo-timestamped evidence, offline mobile applications, real-time alerts, and audit-ready reporting. The platform’s asset-first approach provides an intuitive and highly versatile solution that can be applied across multiple industries, including facilities and property management, construction, logistics, mining, medical devices, and municipalities. AssetPool currently operates in over 30 countries across Canada, Africa, the UK, the US, and Australia.
With support from the CIT Development and Commercialization program and Cambrian College Centre for Smart Mining, AssetPool is advancing its platform through the development of an AI-enabled, next-generation system designed to further streamline inspections, compliance, and asset management workflows. By leveraging AI, the platform will simplify time-intensive processes such as asset onboarding and enhance capabilities like anomaly detection, while improving scalability and usability across industries. The project focuses on modernizing the platform architecture and integrating AI-driven features that enable more automated, intelligent, and efficient inspection processes. This includes enhancing mobile-first capabilities, improving data capture and reporting, and enabling more seamless adoption across asset-heavy sectors such as mining, public works and infrastructure.
The project will enable AssetPool to expand its presence in Ontario and accelerate commercialization of its AI-powered smart inspection platform across mining, municipal, and industrial sectors. By digitizing inspection and compliance workflows, the solution improves operational efficiency, reduces manual processes, and enhances safety and reliability for asset-intensive operations. Additional outcomes include reduced inspection, remediation and compliance costs, improved asset utilization, and more efficient maintenance workflows, while supporting safer working environments and stronger regulatory compliance. The project will also contribute to job creation and economic growth in Ontario by establishing local operations and advancing AI-driven solutions for industrial applications.
