AssetFlo

About

AssetFlo, founded in 2019 and headquartered in Milton, Ontario, is an IoT intelligence company developing low-power sensing and AI-driven asset monitoring solutions. The company has commercialized a deep-location platform deployed across logistics, industrial, and agricultural operations, enabling organizations to track and manage assets in real time. Building on this foundation, AssetFlo is advancing a unified sensor intelligence layer that transforms raw sensor data into actionable insights on asset movement, condition, and environment, supporting scalable and intelligent operations across industries.

Project

With support from the CIT Development and Commercialization program, AssetFlo is developing a machine learning–based Sensor Intelligence Model that enables low-power IoT devices to accurately interpret motion, vibration, rotation, displacement, and environmental conditions. The project replaces traditional rule-based sensing with an adaptive AI-driven approach trained using high-quality robotic test data, improving accuracy and consistency across diverse operating environments.

By integrating on-device machine learning with cloud-based analytics, the platform enables rapid onboarding of new sensor types without requiring custom engineering for each application. The project will validate performance across multiple use cases and prepare the solution for broader commercial deployment, establishing a scalable foundation for intelligent IoT systems across Ontario industries.

Impact

The project will enable AssetFlo to commercialize a next-generation sensor intelligence platform that supports predictive maintenance, improved asset tracking, and more efficient operations across logistics, manufacturing, construction and mining sectors. Outcomes include smarter sensors with longer battery life, reduced false alerts, enhanced operational visibility, and faster deployment of IoT solutions with minimal integration effort. By advancing AI-powered sensing capabilities, AssetFlo will help Ontario companies improve productivity, reduce costs, and accelerate adoption of smart industrial technologies, while strengthening the province’s leadership in IoT and advanced manufacturing innovation.
