AquaSensing develops and deploys advanced battery-free Internet-of-Things (IoT) water leak detection systems enabled by proprietary energy-harvesting materials. The devices generate their own power from ambient sources, eliminating the need for batteries entirely. This makes them maintenance-free, environmentally sustainable, and highly reliable in demanding environments. AquaSensing’s detectors are engineered for construction sites, high-rise and commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and locations where temperature extremes, hazardous conditions, or regulatory restrictions make battery-based solutions impractical or unsafe.

Project

Through this Development and Commercialization supported project, AquaSensing will further refine and commercialize their leak detection technology by integrating it with sector specific processes.  AquaSesnsing will then validate the solution with the support of the Evergreen Brickworks TDS with the intended outcome of  a commercial solution which integrates several critical technologies into a unified, next-generation water leak detection platform.

Impact & Outcomes

At project completion, AquaSensing will have working prototypes, validated hardware/software modules, and pilot-ready systems for leak detection which will be suitable for early commercial partners.  Based on commercialization efforts, AquaSensing is forecasting $500k revenue in year one and $1.5M in year two from sales of the new solution and the creation of up to 10 new full-time positions within 24 months post project.
