ALECTIFY INC.

About

Alectify Inc., founded in 2022 and based in Richmond Hill, Ontario, is an AI-driven technology company specializing in predictive maintenance and asset lifecycle management. By combining artificial intelligence, machine learning, and Industrial IoT, Alectify develops solutions that reduce downtime, extend equipment lifespan, and lower maintenance costs for industries such as mining, construction, and manufacturing. The company’s patent-pending platform transforms maintenance strategies from reactive to proactive, helping operators achieve safer and more efficient operations.

Project

With support from the CIT Development and Commercialization program, Alectify is advancing an AI-powered predictive maintenance platform designed to improve the reliability of primary ventilation fans in underground mines. The project will leverage the NORCAT Underground Centre to capture real-world operational data, validate IIoT hardware under mining conditions, and train AI models to accurately detect and prevent failures. By unifying multi-sensor data into a single platform, the solution will deliver real-time monitoring, predictive alerts, and automated compliance reporting, helping mining operators reduce downtime, cut costs, and enhance safety.

Impact

The project will deliver a validated predictive maintenance solution that reduces unplanned downtime by up to 50% and lowers maintenance costs by as much as 40%. For Alectify, outcomes include new high-skill jobs in AI and software engineering, early commercialization revenue, and expanded opportunities in mining and other industrial sectors. For Ontario, the solution will drive cost savings for mining operators, strengthen local IoT and software supply chains, and reinforce the province’s leadership in AI-enabled industrial innovation.
