Project

This project focuses on developing an AI-enabled, cloud-based platform for mineral exploration, supported by the CIT Development and Commercialization program and in collaboration with Rosor Corp and the uOttawa-IBM Cyber Range. The platform integrates multi-source geophysical and geological data into a single environment, enabling faster processing, analysis, and interpretation while maintaining human-in-the-loop validation. The work includes developing AI models for data fusion and subsurface target identification, as well as validating cybersecurity, data governance, and secure data handling practices.

Impact

The project will advance ACIS’s AI-enabled exploration platform toward commercialization by delivering a validated, secure solution that reduces the time, cost, and uncertainty associated with early-stage mineral exploration. By improving targeting accuracy and enabling more efficient use of exploration resources, the platform supports reduced environmental impact and stronger decision-making across the mining sector. Outcomes include new high-skilled job creation, expanded market opportunities, and strengthened Ontario leadership in applied AI for clean energy and critical minerals development.
