This training project aims to address the company’s growing need for faster, more efficient internal processes to meet rising demands. Currently, manual quoting, project tracking, and communication systems are limiting productivity. With the support of the Future Ready Program, AI training will be provided to upskill staff to use tools that automate repetitive tasks, improve planning accuracy, and enhance collaboration – positioning the company to scale while maintaining service quality. Training includes LLM fundamentals, prompt engineering, AI workflow automation, and real-world deployment strategies. Attendees will gain hands-on experience in building AI-driven applications, optimizing agent interactions, and leveraging AI for business growth.
The project will deliver several tangible outcomes that will ensure successful AI adoption and long-term sustainability at Ottawa General Contractors. By the end of the 4-week program, the team will be proficient in using AI tools for estimating, scheduling, and document management which will result in increased productivity and faster project turnaround. The adoption of AI tools will provide for annual savings of $50,000 through reduced rework, fewer delays and optimized scheduling. The company forecasts an increases in revenue of $100,000 as well as the need to hire 2-3 additional full-time employees.
