Biiibo is a construction technology company founded in 2004, offering an online platform that simplifies the ordering and same-day delivery of building materials. The company serves contractors, developers, and homeowners across major Canadian urban centers, with a focus on streamlining procurement and logistics in the residential and commercial construction sectors. Biiibo employs a team of 60 contractors and 50 full-time employees, who support its operations across sourcing, delivery, customer service, and platform management. The company is positioned as a growing force in the construction supply chain by leveraging technology to improve speed, efficiency, and customer experience in material procurement.

Project

This project will focus on upskilling of 50 Biiibo staff in practical, on-the-job applications of AI, such as generating estimates, automating routine communications, and streamlining design and scheduling processes using AI-powered platforms.  With the support of the Future Ready program, Biibo will receive a focused, hands-on training initiative aimed at building internal capability in the use of AI tools across quoting, design, and project coordination workflows. The objective is to ensure that all key team members—from project estimators to logistics coordinators—are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to independently apply AI tools in their day-to-day operations. 

Impact

This project will equip 60 team members (including 50 full-time employees) with hands-on training in AI tools to enhance quoting, scheduling, and workflow efficiency. By the end of the program, staff will be confident in using these technologies within their day-to-day operations.  This training will help improve efficiencies by 30%-60%, reduce costs by 20%-50% which will increase revenue by up to 30% and necessitate the hiring of 2-3 new full-time employees.
