Lowfoot

About

Lowfoot is a full-service data company whose software platform processes energy data into actionable analytics. Lowfoot’s data platform combines smart meter data, rates & tariffs data, weather data, demographic data, and ancillary data to provide predictive billing analytics and customer communications services to utilities and energy retailers. Lowfoot helps its clients’ customers manage their energy consumption, reduce costs, and smoothly transition to renewable products such as solar, battery storage, and EVs.

Project

Lowfoot DataLinc (LDL) is a near-real-time, high-resolution energy monitoring system designed to optimize energy cost and enable demand flexibility for commercial and industrial facilities. The Development and Commercialization program supported project will enable the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning into LDL’s real-time data analysis. Lowfoot will work with the Evergreen Brickworks TDS to install monitoring equipment to provide a rich dataset for analysis for platform development.

Impact

Currently Lowfoot is export-only and does not have a market presence in Ontario. A high-visibility pilot project will give Lowfoot an opportunity to establish and accelerate its presence in these priority industry types in Ontario.  As a result of the AI-enabled platform and the impact of demonstrating the system at Evergreen, Lowfoot forecasts sales growth of approximately $500,000 over the next three years and the hiring of up to nine full-time employees.
