Schemon

About

Founded in 2024, Schemon is building an AI-driven automated data platform designed to help enterprises of all sizes improve their data operations while reducing costs. Its core innovation is a declaration-based framework that unifies data transformation requirements, validation rules, and metadata into one system. This approach enables organizations to automate and scale data pipelines, minimizing errors and dependency on manual processes. Schemon combines technical expertise and product vision to deliver next-generation solutions to complex data challenges.

Project

Schemon is enhancing its platform by developing a user-friendly interface that supports assisted data declaration design, optimization, and training. These improvements will streamline repetitive tasks, making it easier for enterprises to adopt core data engineering principles while focusing on analytics that drive business decisions. With support from Cambrian College’s Centre for Smart Mining and CIT’s Technology Access Program, the project emphasizes front-end development, user and data pipeline management features, and integration of large language model (LLM) capabilities. This will result in stronger automation for data modeling and Spark optimization, addressing a critical need in mining data management.

Impact

The project will position Schemon to launch a fully operational, AI-driven data platform that reduces pipeline build times by up to fourfold while cutting costs significantly. Early projections estimate the creation of 3–5 high-tech jobs, scaling to more than 10 within three years, alongside over $2M in annual revenue potential. By embedding LLM-powered automation and optimization, Schemon is poised to contribute to Ontario’s AI and mining technology ecosystem while offering enterprises measurable productivity and efficiency gains.
