Lighthouse Cabinetry, founded in 2016 and headquartered in Lindsay, Ontario, is a custom cabinetry manufacturer and integrated e-commerce retailer specializing in luxury kitchen solutions. In just 9 years, the company has built more than 400 installations across Ontario. Lighthouse has made significant strides in automation, integrating robotics and digital design tools to increase efficiency. Building on this foundation, the company is now expanding into advanced software solutions to streamline complex manufacturing workflows and reduce inefficiencies across production, inventory, and logistics.
The Advanced AI Integrated ERP project will create a first-in-industry enterprise management system for cabinetry manufacturing, combining artificial intelligence with linear programming optimization. The hybrid model dynamically adjusts production schedules, inventory levels, and resource allocation in real time, enabling predictive and adaptive manufacturing. Partnering with the University of Ottawa–IBM Cyber Range, Lighthouse will ensure cybersecurity resilience through simulated penetration testing and secure code development. This next-generation ERP will be tailored to the unique workflow of woodworking manufacturers, addressing scheduling, materials, and cost optimization challenges.
The project will yield a validated AI/LP-driven ERP prototype, scalable for commercialization across North America. Lighthouse expects to increase operational efficiency by 20%, reduce costs per production cycle by 20%, and boost revenue by $3 million annually. The system will position Lighthouse as a technology leader in the wood manufacturing industry while creating five new jobs in Ontario. By digitizing a traditionally manual sector, the project will enhance competitiveness, minimize material waste, and demonstrate the transformative impact of AI and cybersecurity integration in advanced manufacturing.
