Arima Inc.

About

Arima Inc., founded in 2019 and headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, is a data analytics company helping businesses optimize marketing performance and sales forecasting through advanced AI and synthetic data modeling. Its flagship platform, The Synthetic Society, combines census, mobility, and behavioral data to create privacy-safe, statistically accurate population models for simulation and demand forecasting. With 25 employees and approximately $2M in annual revenue, Arima serves over 50 enterprise clients across North America, including leading manufacturers and pharmaceutical firms. The company specializes in geospatial analytics, predictive modeling, and automated decision support for complex, multi-location enterprises.

Project

This project will enhance Arima’s AI-powered forecasting platform by developing a regional and store-level analytics engine for advanced manufacturers. The system integrates geospatial data, marketing inputs, and economic indicators to deliver granular predictions and investment recommendations. Partnering with ventureLAB as its Technology Development Site, Arima will build and test the new engine using large-scale synthetic and real-world data, enabling localized decision-making and scenario planning at unprecedented resolution. Bayer will participate as a strategic validation partner, contributing datasets and use cases from its Canadian operations to ensure commercial relevance.

Impact & Outcomes

The project will deliver a validated forecasting engine and upgraded analytics dashboard integrated into Arima’s commercial platform. Expected outcomes include 15–30% revenue growth from upselling to existing clients and improved retention through deeper analytics capabilities. Arima will create at least two new full-time roles in customer success and technical operations within the first year. Broader economic benefits include helping Ontario manufacturers optimize regional marketing and supply chain decisions, reducing inefficiencies, and strengthening competitiveness through localized, AI-driven insights.
